History of ETEI Kundukela

The Government Elementary Teacher Education Institute (ETEI) in Kundukela has a rich history rooted in the commitment to quality education and teacher training. Established in the year 1958, with untiring efforts of great Odia philanthropist Shri Vesaja Patel along with other educationists of the village, the institute was established to address the growing need for skilled educators in the locality, particularly at the elementary level. Shri Dharanidhar Dehury was designated as the first Headmaster of the institute.
Over the years, the institute has evolved to incorporate modern pedagogical practices and curriculum developments. It has played a crucial role in shaping the teaching workforce, contributing to the improvement of educational standards in local schools. Students passed out from this institute have served and are still involved as iconic academicians in various educational institutes of the state.
